Deputies say the man was stabbed in the upper body, but his injuries weren’t life-threatening. James is charged with criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature. A 34-year-old woman, Mrs. Alexandra Ossai, has accused her Lebanese boss, Kaveh Noine, of causing her to lose her seven-month- pregnancy after he kicked her in the stomach. Currently at a private hospital in the Fagba area of Lagos State, Ossai had to have an emergency surgery four days after the kick to save her life as the kick damaged her placenta. A man in Lagos has been arrested and taken before a court for assaulting his friend in a beer parlour. Chidi Osuagwu, 31, is alleged to have bitten off the lip of one Sunday Adebayo, his friend, after the latter teased him for refusing to buy a bottle of beer. Osuagwu was yesterday arraigned before a Magistrate Court sitting in the Itire area of the state. According to Vanguard reports, the accused who resides at 13, Agboola St., Ijeshatedo, a Lagos suburb, is being tried for assault. The prosecutor, Inspector Olakunle Shobanire, told the court that the accused committed the offence on September 25 at 9.00 p.m. at 271, Ijesha Road in Itire area of Lagos. Shobanire alleged that Osuagwu was at a beer parlour when the complainant, Sunday Adebayo, asked him to buy him a bottle of beer, but he refused. A magistrate’s court at Iyaganku, Ibadan, Oyo State has ordered seven accused persons arraigned before it for conspiracy and defilement to be remanded in Agodi prison custody till January 27. The accused’s names were listed as Emmanuel Abiola (64) a.k.a. Doctors are battling to save the eyes of a banker in Ile Ife, Osun State, Mr. Tope Akinlabi, and his wife, Mulikat, who were bathed with acid by some yet-to-be-identified people. It was learnt that Tope and his wife were returning home on foot after the close of work on Monday, December 16, when two men riding on a motorcycle met up with them and emptied the content of a jerry can on them. Tope was said to have gone to his wife’s shop at the Eleyele area of Ile Ife after he closed from work on the fateful day. The attackers met up with them while the two of them were going home on foot  around 7pm when the incident happened.
